NFRF Exploration 2022 Updates

NFRF Exploration 2022 Competition Update: 

The 2022 Exploration Competition has been launched, with deadlines in July (NOI) and September (Full Application).

This competition funds high risk, high reward, interdisciplinary research. The maximum funding available is $125,000/year for 2 years (maximum of $100,000/year in direct research costs and $25,000/year in indirect costs).

NFRF hosted two webinars in May and July.

  • NOI stage webinar: This was held on Friday May 27; English webinar: 10am PST; slides, recording, and Q&A are posted on SPARC's NFRF Resources page (CWL required).
  • Full Application stage webinar: Thursday, July 14; English webinar: 10am PST; slides, recording, and Q&A are posted on SPARC's NFRF Resources page (CWL required)

SPARC Update: Available 2022 Support Services

  • Information session: SPARC held an information session on June 15, 2022. Slides, recordings, and Q&A are available through the SPARC's NFRF Resources page (CWL required).
  • Sample grants: SPARC's sample grant library contains examples of successful past NFRF Exploration proposals (CWL required).
  • Full Application support: SPARC review of full application documents. For feedback, please submit Word documents to Sharon Marsh. SPARC will guarantee a full criteria and editorial review for all documents received between Monday, August 22 and Wednesday, August 31 at 5:00pm.
