Award Details

Each year All Souls College offers a number of Visiting Fellowships to people who intend to engage in study and research in Oxford and are prepared to participate in the academic life of the College. Visiting Fellows are expected to be resident in Oxford during the tenure of the Fellowship.  A Visiting Fellow may be elected for a period of one, two, or three terms within the Oxford academic year. Three-term applications are particularly welcome.

The dates of term at Oxford for 2024–2025 are:

Michaelmas Term (from Sunday, 13 October to Saturday, 7 December, 2024)
Hilary Term (from Sunday, 19 January to Saturday, 15 March, 2025)
Trinity Term (from Sunday, 27 April to Saturday, 21 June, 2025)

The College receives many strong applications for Visiting Fellowships. Profiles of the successful candidates this year may be viewed here. The College is committed to promoting diversity, and particularly encourages applications from women, black and minority ethnic candidates, and others with a protected characteristic who are currently under-represented in the academic community at Oxford. In the last decades, we have had many Visiting Fellows from around the world and we welcome international applicants.

The College usually aims to accommodate nine or ten Visiting Fellows in each term.

Following the August 18/23 application deadline, references must be received by 4pm (UK time), on Friday, 1 September 2023.
