JAPN students excel in the 34th Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest

On March 26, the 34th Canadian National Japanese Speech Contest was held at Japan Foundation, Toronto in Toronto, Ontario. The contest participants are from the seven regional contests: Atlantic, Quebec, Ottawa, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Four JAPN students, Joon Woo Park (JAPN450+), Tielia Young (JAPN450+), Brady Reeleder (JAPN260) and Serena Pong (JAPN323) represented BC and gave their best performances, leaving the audience thoroughly impressed. Congratulations to Joon Woo on receiving the second place in the advanced category, and Tielia on receiving the first place in the open category for their outstanding speeches.
