About this event

Do you chalk your accomplishments as a fluke or “no big deal? Do you think, “If I can do it, anyone can”? Do you feel like you’re just fooling your professors? If so, join the club! Millions of people around the world — from executives to bright university students and their professors to Academy award winners— secretly worry they’re not as bright and capable as other people “think” they are. It’s called the Impostor Syndrome and there is a cure. This 1.5-hour session provides an introduction to Imposter Syndrome and other commonplace graduate student struggles. You will discover a number of UBC resources for improving your mental health. Topics covered:

  • What is Imposter syndrome? Learn how to recognize imposter syndrome in yourself and others
  • Learn how to migrate current UBC resources to combat the anxiety and self-imposed negativity of imposter syndrome that can hold us back professionally

After registration you will be contacted with he zoom link closer to the event.
