The nine divisions of the VP Finance & Operations (VPFO) portfolio are responsible for the stewardship of UBC’s physical and financial assets. We oversee a $3.4 billion budget, a $2.8 billion endowment, and all university facilities on both campuses. The VPFO also manages the university’s relationships with UBC Investment Management and UBC Properties Trust. In all the portfolio’s responsibilities, we are committed to the values of excellence, integrity, respect, accountability, and safety.

The Chung | Lind Gallery in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre welcomes visitors to explore BC’s multicultural history. The renovation project was managed by UBC Facilities Project Services with great collaboration with UBC Library.
Museum of Anthropology to reopen on June 13 at 5:00 pm
The MOA at UBC will reopen its doors to the public on June 13, 2024 at 5:00 pm. The space has undergone cutting-edge seismic upgrades to the Great Hall, coupled with the revitalization and reinterpretation of displays of Northwest Coast Indigenous carvings, poles, weavings and other works from the past and present. Join reopening night for free admission!
Telehealth and Data Analysis Renovation | Neville Scarfe Room 273
Construction is anticipated to begin at the start of May on the Neville Scarfe Building Telehealth and Data Analysis Renovation. Rooms 273, 273E and 273F will be reconfigured to provide a suitable space for research. The research aims to interrupt the intergenerational transmission of mental health issues and illnesses by identifying at-risk families and increasing treatment access.

UBC Facilities teams collected over 100 lbs. of garbage at Clean up the Campus
Thirty-one dedicated members of our UBC Facilities team joined forces for the 4th Annual Earth Day Clean up the Campus event, led by the Municipal Services’ Waste Management team. In total, they collected 192 pounds of litter from around UBC Vancouver.

Nicole brings a wealth of experience and over eight years as a dedicated CPA specializing in accounting and auditing. Previously, Nicole served as the Senior Project Accountant for the Integrated Renewal Program at UBC from 2018 to 2021. During her free time, she enjoys the great outdoors as an avid hiker and traveling the world!
Jimmy Gau joins ISC Service Desk as ISC Service Centre Manager
Jimmy joins the ISC Service Desk team on May 1 to work alongside co-Managers, Liam Murphy and Divya Shetty, and Senior Manager, Veekay Padhi. As a former UBC student and coming from his previous role with IRP Student as a Business Systems Analyst, Jimmy is deeply dedicated to understanding the needs of the UBC community.
