Natalie Walliser appointed UBCO’s Director of Infrastructure Development

Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to share the exciting news of Natalie Walliser's appointment as Director of Infrastructure Development at UBC Okanagan. With nearly three years of experience at UBC and a strong background in various post-secondary, public, and private sector organizations, Natalie's expertise is a valuable addition to our team. Her most recent role as UBC Okanagan's Associate Director of Facilities Planning has had her deeply involved in many aspects of planning for the current and future space needs of academic and administrative units on campus.

In her new and challenging position, Natalie will lead and manage the Infrastructure Development function of the campus. This includes overseeing the planning, design, construction, renewal and renovation of all campus facilities and physical infrastructure, encompassing administrative and academic institutional facilities, Student Housing and Athletics.

Working closely with the entire UBC Okanagan community, Natalie and her team are dedicated to creating exceptional spaces for teaching, learning, living, conducting cutting-edge research and fostering a thriving campus community. She will also support the UBC Okanagan campus' Capital Plan, aligned with the broader UBC Plan developed by UBC Infrastructure Development.

As part of our local operations leadership team, Natalie will collaborate closely with Ben Johnson, Director of Campus Planning, Shelley Kayfish, Director of Campus Operations and Risk Management, and many colleagues from UBC Vancouver. Together, we are confident that they will continue to address the current and future needs of the campus community effectively.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Natalie as she embarks on this new role. We look forward to her valuable contributions and the positive impact she will make at UBCO.

Sincerely,

Rob Einarson
Associate Vice-President, Finance and Operations
UBC Okanagan
