A message from Deborah Buszard, Interim President and Vice-Chancellor

Yesterday the UBC Board of Governors approved the reappointment of Ms. Heather McCaw as Vice-President, Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE), for a second term starting November 1, 2023.

Ms. McCaw took on the role of Vice-President, DAE, in 2018. During her first term as Vice-President, she has led her portfolio to record levels of success.

Her achievements include the public launch of the most ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement campaign in the university’s history – FORWARD, the campaign for UBC. The campaign aims to raise $3 billion to benefit students and research across both campuses, as well as double alumni engagement and achieve 5 million alumni interactions.
