Get active by participating in the Staff & Faculty Sports Day

Many of you may be aware that Staff & Faculty Sports Week was held virtually last year. We are so pleased that the Staff & Faculty Sports Day is set to return to being held in-person at UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan this year, on May 6.

Whether you want to participate as an office, department, group of colleagues or an individual, there are a variety of challenges and activities to choose from. Virtual activities will also be available from May 2 to 6.

    Register for the New to UBC Connections Program - UBC Vancouver

    The New to UBC Connections Program is open to faculty and staff in Vancouver in their first year of employment who wish to meet people from outside their faculty or department.The program was piloted successfully in November 2023 and has received a positive response from new faculty and staff.Participants will be matched in groups of three-four and will meet every four to eight weeks to participate in activities or events as a group, based on shared areas of interest.

    UBC’s amended Conflict of Interest Policy (SC3)

    On March 27, the Board of Governors approved amendments to UBC’s Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy (SC3) and its associated Procedures, effective as of April 2. The policy was amended to fully reflect the annual COI reporting requirements for UBC staff members, as well as address various best practices that have emerged since the last revision.A copy of the approved Conflict of Interest Policy and its associated Procedures is available on the University Counsel website.
