The art of managing conflict

Conflict is a common part of life, a natural result of people having different points of view, values, and beliefs. When left unaddressed, workplace conflict can lead to increased absenteeism and reduced productivity. When well-managed, conflict can enhance your relationships, deepen your understanding of yourself and others, and stimulate change and growth. This seminar will provide participants with a framework for assessing the types of conflict common in the workplace and propose strategies for their resolution.

Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the support provided to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid Training is an evidence based, internationally recognized program through the Mental Health Commission of Canada. In this training, participants will learn how to recognize signs that a person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis and encourage that person to:

Understanding your UBC Staff Pension Plan (UYSPP) Workshop

Understanding Your UBC Staff Pension Plan (UYSPP) is an informative, 90-minute workshop for active UBC Staff Pension Plan members of all ages and knowledge levels. UYSPP helps members learn about their Plan, pensions in general, and related retirement considerations and options.
