This Canvas course is part of six-part introductory courses on the VPFO equity, diversity, inclusion (EDI) journey with a focus on racism in BC and Canada. 

We suggest that you make a point of sharing your learning and any questions that come up while you do this course with friends, family, and colleagues. Sharing with others is the best way to make new learning stick and to open up new opportunities for learning. There are scenarios and reflections in most courses, these are great places to apply your knowledge and to invite someone else to learn with you.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this course, you will be able to: 

• Understand what really is racism and how is it different from what we usually think of as racism?
• What is a racist?
• Is the solution to racial inequity non-racism or anti-racism?
