Spotlight of the week

In honour of Women's History Month, we'll be celebrating the achievement of women across the VPFO throughout March.

UBC and the VPFO are committed to gender equity and inclusion of all women. By challenging and calling out gender bias and inequality, we can all help create a more inclusive research, learning and work environment. See what’s happening at UBC.

Teresa Syrnyk, Director, Facilities Planning

I am always gratified to see students studying and collaborating in spaces I helped create.

Last week, I had a chance to visit two fine projects I worked on with UBC Library Leadership: the Library Research Commons in Koerner Library on the Vancouver campus and the Learning Commons at UBC Okanagan. Working with the fantastic librarians on these projects was a highlight during my time at UBC.
