Wellness Wednesday: The Social Side of Aging - Why Relationships Matter for Health
Wednesday, October 8 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Zoom

As we grow older, the quality of our social relationships plays a critical role in shaping our physical and mental well-being. Dr. Theresa Pauly's talk will explore how social isolation and loneliness affect health in later life—potentially disrupting stress regulation systems—and highlights the importance of fostering connection for healthy aging.

Note on Registration Capacities

We have classes that still have spots and are open for registration! These classes include PAIRS Project (monthly workshop), QiGong (Tuesdays at 4:30pm), in-person Intergenerational Musical Movement (Fridays at 12:30-1:30pm), and more!

If there is no room in a class you are interested in attending, please sign-up on the waitlist. This helps us to evaluate the demand of our classes and allows you to be notified through e-mail when a spot opens. Please keep an eye out in your inbox, as spots that open are released to everyone on the waitlist and registration is first-come-first-serve. If you are registered for a class you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking to allow those on the waitlist to join the class.

Announcements and Updates

Creative Collective Call for New Participants

We are currently recruiting participants to join the Creative Collective. The Creative Collective initiative aims to spotlight art created by members of the BC BWP community. Art can be anything from pottery, paintings, photographs, poetry, recipes, gardening arrangements and so much more… we would love to see it all!

The project highlights the importance of creative expression in brain wellness and hopes to encourage more people to use art as a form of healthy expression, relaxation, coping and growth. Check out past participants and their inspiring stories and creative work on our website.

If you have any questions, please email us with the subject line “Creative Collective”. If you would like to submit your creative expression work, please fill out the contact form below.
