Shout outs

Cross VPFO

  • Paul Gill, Glen McNeil & Anna Grewal: Kudos to Paul, Glen and Anna for facilitating EDI sessions with Facilities' Municipal Services team! They have been so fantastic and have generated a lot of great discussions amongst the team. Your dedication to supporting EDI and inclusive work environments is much appreciated!

Facilities

  • James Bellavance & Jeet Amritsar: Shout out to James and Jeet for taking the time to give our conference participants who came from across Canada, the UK and Australia a tour of our beautiful campus! Thank you for showcasing this wonderful space that we enjoy working at with your expertise and dedication!

  • Building Operations' Scaffolding and Plumbing/Fire Life Safety crews: The crew members were able to replace a damaged section of sprinkler pipe within the Rose Garden parkade this past week. The expertly laid out pipe could not have been done without the perfectly positioned scaffolding. Great job!

Finance & Operations

  • Dayu Song: Dayu has received the most awards since the launch of the KUDOs program within Finance & Operational Excellence from April 2022 until December 31, 2022. Shelly Morrison, Senior Director, Finance Services & Strategic Procurement, presented Dayu with a certificate of congratulations, chocolates and a voucher for $100. Thank you for leading by example and congratulations, Dayu!

Communications & Engagement

  • Annie Mullins: Shout out to Annie for the great work she did on updating the Payroll content on the UBC Finance website in time for tax season. Filing taxes is no fun, but clear and informative information definitely makes the process easier!

Well done! Want to give someone a shout out in the next edition? Submit your kudos in your local recognition program or email communications@vpfo.ubc.ca
