In-Person Workshop: Dancing with Parkinson's
Tuesday, February 24th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (in-person)

In collaboration with Dancing with Parkinson's Canada and Inverso Productions, we are launching a new in-person dance class series for older adults as well as individuals with Parkinson's Disease. Instructed by Lesley Telford, you will experience the joy and benefits of moving together to music.

Exercise and Nutrition Collab
Thursday, February 26th from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM (on Zoom)

Join us for a dynamic exercise and nutrition session designed to support your workouts and recovery. The session will consist of 30 minutes of guided exercise, focused on getting your body moving and energized. This will be followed by an interactive nutrition discussion, covering strategies to fuel your activity and support recovery.

In-Person Workshop: Improv for Brain Health
Thursday, February 26th, 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM (in-person)

Join us for another in-person Improv for Brain Health workshop, where you will connect with others, exercise your brain, and share some laughs! Through fun games and exercises, participants will learn improv skills and explore how they can be applied to life and fostering wellness. No improv experience is required, everyone is welcome!

Research Seminar Series: "Using arts-based interactions to support relationships with minimally communicative persons"
Wednesday, March 4th from 12 PM to 1 PM

Next month's educational event will be focused on the deep potential of embodied and sensorial interactions. In this talk, Dr. Stefanie Blain-Moraes will present different ways that dance, music and therapeutic clowning have been used in her research along with physiologically based assistive technology to support interaction with children in palliative care and adults with advanced dementia.

In-Person Workshop: Art from the Heart
Monday, March 16th, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (in-person)

In collaboration with the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, we would like to invite you to an in-person art workshop in Kitsilano. Facilitated by Mady Mooney, this session will let you use colour, shape and imagery to express what is meaningful to you. Discover how the creative process can foster healing and mental well-being. No art skills required!

Seniors Resource Fair + Free Workshop
Monday, March 9th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

The Kitsilano Neighbourhood House will be hosting a seniors resource fair next month. During the event, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, BWP's Creative Expressive Team Lead Cynthia Friesen will be facilitating a free music workshop titled "A Community Breath and Song Sharing Experience." No registration is required.
