NSERC Arthur B. MacDonald Fellowships

VPRI is seeking self-nominations to the NSERC Arthur B. McDonald Fellowships, which recognize early-stage academic researchers in the natural sciences and engineering (first 10 years of academic appointment and holding an NSERC grant) and support them to enhance their research capacity, so that they can become leaders in their field and inspire others.

NSERC awards up to six McDonald Fellowships each year, each of which provides a $250,000 research grant over 2 years and up to $90,000 to the institution to fund teaching and administrative relief. UBC is limited to six nominations, so VPRI will coordinate an internal selection process. (Note: We expect NSERC to formally launch the competition in March with a deadline of June 7/2023.)
