Description: UBC Faculty of Medicine has partnered with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore to build a global coalition to accelerate research in the areas of healthy aging, brain health, and precision oncology.

Call for Nominations

Lewis S. Rosenstiel Award for Distinguished Work in Basic Medical Research

The Lewis S. Rosenstiel Award for Distinguished Work in Basic Medical Research was established in 1971 as an expression of the conviction that educational institutions have an important role to play in the encouragement and development of basic science as it applies to medicine.

Awards are given to scientists for recent discoveries of particular originality and importance to basic medical research. A cash prize and a medallion accompanies each award. | Deadline: August 31, 2024

Sloan Research Fellowships

The Sloan Research Fellowship Program provides two-year, $75,000 fellowships to early career researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field. Candidates must be nominated by a department head or other senior researcher. Departments can nominate more than one candidate, but no more than three| Deadline: September 15, 2024

Canada Gairdner Awards NEW

Jacob Biely Faculty Research Prize NEW

Killam Faculty Research Prizes NEW

Established in 1986, ten UBC Killam Research Prizes are awarded annually to top campus researchers with funds provided annually from the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies established through a bequest from the late Dorothy J.
