National Multiple Sclerosis Society: Biostatistics/Informatics Junior Faculty Award 
Description: Intended to create protected time for a junior faculty member to collaborate with an established MS research group to develop expertise in MS clinical trials, real-world evidence, epidemiology, data mining, and/or other related bioinformatics research, and to inspire them to pursue critical questions in MS research throughout their career.

PKD Foundation: Polycistic Kidney Disease Research NEW
Description: Supports basic research that enhances understanding of the molecular basis of PKD and its pathobiology; translational research that accelerates the development of predictive and therapeutic strategies for PKD; clinical research, such as small pilot studies; and epidemiology/data analysis research to conduct secondary data analyses utilizing existing database resources, or to develop new statistical methodologies or test hypotheses using existing data.

Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation: J. Édouard Samson Award NEW
Description: Recognizes the best career orthopaedic research over a period of five (5) years or more at a Canadian centre. The recipient will present their research at the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (presentation opportunity to be determined). The award consists of an educational grant and a personal research grant to be used by the recipient at the Canadian institution where they currently reside.

UBC Faculty of Medicine: 2023 Seminar Series Fund 
Description: The purpose of the fund is to provide secondary support for interdisciplinary seminars of educational value with up to $1,500 per seminar series. Only one application per UBC Faculty of Medicine department, centre/institute or school will be accepted. Schmidt Science Polymaths Award

The program will identify and support innovative scientific researchers at this pivotal moment (and potentially the most productive time of their careers) by providing the resources that allow them to substantively explore new lines of research. Instead of focusing on specific research ideas, the goal for the program is to bet on people, their special talent, and their teams.

WiSTEM2D Scholars Awards NEW

The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program aims to fuel development of female STEM2D leaders and feed the STEM2D talent pipeline by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their careers, in each of the STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design.

Lewis S. Rosenstiel Award for Distinguished Work in Basic Medical Research

The Lewis S. Rosenstiel Award for Distinguished Work in Basic Medical Research was established in 1971 as an expression of the conviction that educational institutions have an important role to play in the encouragement and development of basic science as it applies to medicine.
