BC Brain Wellness Program

June 19th, 2023
Summer Events

It is hard to believe that summer is around the corner. Spring session classes end on June 30th and fall session classes will begin on September 11th. Over the summer the BCBWP team will work to continue to strengthen the program through operational planning and research implementation. We will also use this time to focus on three key priorities:

1. Exploring ways to increase capacity and program offerings
2. Fundraising efforts to ensure the long-term delivery of the program
3. Evaluating the impact of the program.

Here are some suggestions on how to support your brain wellness during July and August.

Classes
Throughout July and August, we encourage you to utilize our video library to maintain your fitness levels and stay creative or join some of the amazing offerings available within our communities. We will feature different options in our bi-weekly newsletter to keep you motivated and empowered and ready for fall.

Educational Events
We will have a special World Brain Day online event on Wednesday, July 19th (12:00 - 1:30). The World Federation of Neurology and the World Federation for Neurorehabilitation have announced the theme for this year will be Brain Health and Disability: Leave No One Behind.

This is also a great time to watch recordings of any of the past events that you missed.

Stay Connected
Send us photos of how you are practicing your brain wellness activities so we can share and motivate our community to stay active, creative, and connected. Our email is brain.wellness@ubc.ca
