In-Person Workshop: Improv for Brain Health
Thursday, August 7 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM in-person at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health
Join us for an in-person Improv for Brain Health workshop, to connect, exercise your brain and share some laughs! Through fun games and exercises, participants will learn improv skills and explore how they can be applied to life and foster wellness. No improv experience required, everyone is welcome! Light snacks will be provided. |

In-Person Exercise Classes at UBC
We currently have space in our in-person group exercises classes. These circuit-based classes are designed for individuals living with a neurological condition, as the exercises are adaptable and can be modified to best suit each participant’s ability. Please express your interest by using the following link. |

We have classes that still have spots and are open for registration! Classes include Functional Strength (Thursdays at 9 AM), Higher Intensity Interval Training (Mondays and Fridays at 9:30 AM), and more! |

Forest Harmonies
Forest Harmonies, presented by Metro Vancouver | Regional Parks, will be happening Saturday, July 19 2025 at Pacific Spirit Park from 6:30-8:30 PM! Drop by anytime. Starting point at 4915 West 16th Avenue. No registration required. Event is free. Our program’s music wellness facilitator, Cynthia Friesen, will be involved this year as one of the community musicians! Join them for an evening of music from local talent, from a harpist to a choir, and intermingles with the sounds of nature. Music interpretation stations will also be available throughout the park.

Events in the Lower Mainland
The 8th annual Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival is back from July 24-27, 2025, transforming the charming streets of Fort Langley into a vibrant hub of world-class jazz, art, and Indigenous culture. It will be a weekend filled with dynamic performances, interactive workshops, and community celebrations.
Art Downtown is an inclusive and accessible open-air gallery and artist studio happening throughout July and August. This fair brings artists together to create and showcase their work. Attendees can witness onsite art creation firsthand and enjoy live musical performances!
Kitsilano Showboat is a series of free outdoor summer concerts and multicultural performances at Vancouver’s Kitsilano Beach in June and July.

Plan Institute is a national nonprofit organization that works to empower people with disabilities with their future planning goals and needs by providing educational workshops and resources.
