These circuit-based classes are designed for individuals living with a neurological condition, as the exercises are adaptable and can be modified to best suit each participant’s ability. Wellness Wednesday - The Strength of Community: Cultivating Well-Being Through Evidence and Connection
Wednesday May 14, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Zoom

Join us for a talk with Dr. Joanie Sims Gould and Dr. Joanna Pozzulo as they explore how engaging in activities with others can unlock new levels of well-being through the power of connection and community. Dr Sims Gould will discuss a physical activity and social connectedness program that has been implemented across BC. Dr. Pozzulo will examine the research related to reading in addition to the benefits of being part of a community.

Join us for an exciting presentation with Dr. Amrit Dhariwal and Dr. Andrea Chapman on somatization - when emotional or psychological distress/factors manifests as physical symptoms. Learn how the mind and body interact in this process and discover valuable community resources that can support individuals experiencing somatization.

Forest Bathing Connection Walk
Thursday, June 26 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM
Pacific Spirit Park (The Salish Trail, Along West 16th Ave). Those registered will be followed up with specific information on where to meet.

Join us for a rejuvenating Forest Bathing Connection Walk, where you'll immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature while fostering a deeper connection with yourself and others. This mindful walk encourages presence and reflection, allowing you to fully experience the sights, sounds, and scents of the forest.

IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s
Sunday, May 25, 2025

You are invited to the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s to raise awareness about dementia – and raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. The Walk is the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Funds raised will help to deliver programs and services for people affected by dementia, providing the support they need to maintain the best possible quality of life at every stage of their journey, and enable critical research to change the future of the disease.

The free and confidential service can be accessed 24 hours a day, in more than 150 languages, by phone, chat, text, and web. 211 helps connect people to the right information and services, making their pathway to care and resources a guided and trusted one.

Reducing Poverty Initiative 
The National Institute of Disability Management and Research has launched a fully funded initiative to reduce poverty through early intervention and occupational rehabilitation. This program supports individuals who are injured or have become ill outside of work, as well as their employers, aiding in the return-to-work process. 

Program Highlights: 

• Eligibility: Individuals off work due to injury/illness outside of work, and employers needing accommodations. Please view eligibility section of website to learn more. 

• Supports Available: Access to physical and mental health treatment, case management, workplace accommodations, and more. 

• Locations: Prince George, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Vancouver and surrounding area up to 75km.
