Graduate Certificate in Migration Studies: Applications are now open
UBC Vancouver graduate students can now apply for the 2025-26 Graduate Certificate in Migration Studies—an interdisciplinary program that complements master’s, doctoral, or professional degrees with specialized training in migration and mobilities. The program provides multi- and interdisciplinary training in migration and mobilities research, prepares students for non-academic career paths in the migration and integration sector, and cultivates an inclusive, collaborative community of scholars dedicated to cross-disciplinary learning. Applications are due June 23.
10th Japanese Literature Publishing Project (JLPP) International Translation Competition
The Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan, is delighted to host the 10th JLPP International Translation Competition, aimed at discovering and fostering emerging translators of Japanese literature. In the 10th Competition, the target languages for the contemporary literature category are English and Spanish, while English is the target language for the classical literature category. Submissions are accepted until June 30.
Apply for the 2025 Partnership Recognition and Exploration Fund
The Partnership Recognition and Exploration (PRE) Fund awards up to $1,500 to fill small resource gaps so community partners can build reciprocal relationships with UBC students, faculty and staff. Funding is available until December 31, or until all funds are exhausted. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and typically assessed within one week of submission.
