The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme aims to enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations through fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign, young professionals, from 57 countries. Participants have the opportunity to gain valuable overseas work experience, learn about Japanese language and culture, and meet participants from around the world, while contributing to English language education and international understanding.The deadline for the 2023 Application Cycle is set for November 14.

Laura Bassi Scholarship
The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed, within their disciplines. All currently enrolled master’s and doctoral candidates are eligible to apply, as are academics in the first five years of full-time employment. The deadline to apply is December 1.
Postdoctoral Fellowship Announcement: Program on U.S.-Japan Relations, Harvard University
Scholars in social science who are conducting research on Japan’s external relations are invited to apply to become a postdoctoral fellow for the Program on U.S.-Japan Relations. This program is part of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs (WCFIA) at Harvard University and knowledge of the Japanese language is not required. The deadline to apply is December 16.
Submissions Open for the UBC Journal of Historical Studies 2022-2023 Edition
UBC Journal of Historical Studies is a student-run publication that publishes an edition of high quality undergraduate work every year. They are currently looking for students who are interested in submitting their papers for a chance of publication. Submissions are open until December 26.

Get up to $1,500 for community-university collaboration and relationship building. Every day, people on and off-campus work together on joint initiatives that benefit both the community and UBC.
