In Memoriam: Dr. Thomas Hunter, former Lecturer in Sanskrit and South-Southeast Asian Studies Dr. Thomas Hunter passed away peacefully on September 20, 2022 in his home village in Bali. He was an integral faculty member in the Department of Asian Studies for many years and was one of the core members in developing courses for the department that feature South and Southeast Asian content. He will be remembered for his scholarly rigour, enthusiasm, generosity, and open-mindedness. Back to top |

Applications for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme 2023 are open! The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme aims to enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations through fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign, young professionals, from 57 countries. Participants have the opportunity to gain valuable overseas work experience, learn about Japanese language and culture, and meet participants from around the world, while contributing to English language education and international understanding.The deadline for the 2023 Application Cycle is set for November 14. |
