In-Person Workshop - Improv for Brain Health
Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health, Room 3402

Join us for an in-person Improv for Brain Health workshop to connect, exercise your brain and share some laughs! Through fun games and exercises, participants will learn improv skills and explore how they can be applied to life and foster wellness. No improv experience required, everyone is welcome! Light snacks will be provided.

In-Person Workshop - Let the Arts do Your Talking
Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health, Room 3402

Come join us for an art session that will let you use colour, shape and imagery to express what is meaningful to you. Discover how the creative process can foster healing and mental well-being. Light snacks will be provided at the end. No prior art experience is required.

Nutrition Month 2025

Join us in celebrating Nutrition Month through our three student-led workshops on March 11, 18 and 25 presented by graduate students in the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program at UBC. These workshops will include engaging activities, practical tips, and easy recipes so you can confidently take steps to improve your nutritional wellbeing. Wellness Wednesday - Thriving With Nature: How Green Spaces Support Health and Well-being
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. This is a hybrid event taking place in-person at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health and on Zoom.

Join us for our April Wellness Wednesday with Dr. Ingrid Jarvis! The talk will explore how urban green spaces – like parks, gardens, and trees – support human health and well-being, with a focus on aging. We will discuss theories behind nature-health connections, existing evidence, and how this knowledge can help create healthier communities.

Community Presentation - Living With and Beyond Cancer: What Older Adults Tell Us About Healthy Aging

Monday, March 3, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Zoom

This clinic provides assessment and intervention for people aged 60+ who have experienced a change in their memory or thinking. The clinic supports people to optimize brain health by reducing risks and developing beneficial lifestyle habits, maintain functioning, emotional well-being, quality of life, and slow down cognitive decline as much as possible.
