The snow has started to fall at Whistler Blackcomb (see live shot above!), which has us pulling out the winter gear and looking ahead to #WAS2022. If you’ve never joined us before, we are a family-friendly conference geared towards the anesthesiology community at large (anesthesiologists, FPAs, AAs, CRNAs, trainees). We offer up-to-date clinically relevant content from internationally renowned experts and local faculty. So come join us for an exciting program delivering the latest science and best practices in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine — all from the outdoor mecca that is Whistler, BC.

Call for Abstracts:

We are now accepting abstract submissions for original research, quality improvement projects, and case reports or series. Accepted abstracts will be chosen to deliver either an in-person oral presentation in Whistler or a pre-recorded virtual presentation. Both formats will include a moderated Q&A session. For full details on format and delivery, visit the Abstract Submission Portal. Submission Deadline: Monday Nov 15, 2021, 8am PST.

Conference Highlights:

  • The most up-to-date educational content from world renowned speakers and local experts. Choose from in-person or virtual formats.
  • Two pre-conference regional anesthesia workshops covering both the basics and advanced regional blocks. Each workshop is accredited for up to 2.5 MOC Section 3 credits.
  • Our schedule is organized to facilitate both education and outdoor activities. Multiple social and networking events are provided, including two fully hosted evening receptions — family members are welcome at no additional cost.
  • Bring the kids! Our kid-friendly evening receptions include supervised crafts, movies, balloon artists, dinner buffets, and babysitters.
  • Discounted ski lift passes, equipment rentals & snow school lessons, plus free skiing for EPIC Pass holders.
  • Exclusive hotel rates at the all-suite Westin Resort & Spa starting at $352 CAD per night. All suites are equipped with family-friendly kitchens.
