UBC Faculty of Medicine: Bluma Tischler Postdoctoral Fellowship
Description: for MD or Ph.D. graduates in Medicine, Biochemistry, Genetics, or associated disciplines carrying out research on the biochemical or genetic aspects of intellectual developmental disorders or other neurological disorders.
Amount: $25,000

UBC Faculty of Medicine: New Faculty Research Award
Description: The New Faculty Research Award is for faculty members in the first two years of their first full-time faculty appointment as Assistant Professor (or higher), or Adjunct Professor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine as of the application deadline. This year, applications are accepted from Clinical Faculty members within four years of their first Clinical faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor or higher. The funds may be used for research equipment, research supplies and/or research services, and research support salaries.

UBC Peter Wall Legacy Awards: Wall Research Awards (Faculty)
Description: support for research relating to three areas of interest: (1) Sustainable approaches to and development of the general urban environment, including water, energy and transportation infrastructure in British Columbia; (2) Environmental protection of oceans, beaches and waterfronts that impact British Columbia; and (3) Sustainable approaches to resource-intensive industry in British Columbia.

Royal-Mach-Gaensslen Prize for Mental Health Research The prestigious Royal-Mach-Gaensslen Prize for Mental Health Research is awarded each year to an outstanding rising star researcher in the field of mental health, to recognize, encourage and support them as they pursue their research interests and goals. The annual national prize provides $100,000 in funding to Canadian early-career researchers (45 years or younger) with a demonstrated track record in research; excellence in scientific rigor, innovative thinking, imagination and originality; and a clear ability to work in partnership with other disciplines and/or research teams external to the institution with which they are affiliated. | Deadline: July 15, 2024
