Updating the links of Board Policies & Procedures documents
The Office of the University Counsel (OUC) maintains the official repository of Board Policies, Procedures, Rules, and Guidelines. The repository can be found here.
The OUC has recently restructured the repository to create a landing page for each Board Policy and its related documents, with a permanent URL that will never change.
As a result of this change, all websites or documents that directly reference the URLs for individual policy documents must be updated to use the permanent URLs for the landing pages.
Going forward, please use the links on this repository for your public-facing documents. If you notice any broken document links on our websites, please contact Samantha Tsui, Communications Coordinator (samantha.tsui@ubc.ca).

EDI: What is intersectionality and why does it matter?
At UBC we believe excellence cannot be achieved without inclusion. But how we are included is shaped by how we present ourselves, the ways we are seen by others, the systems and norms of our campus, and how they all intersect.
Read more about how intersectionality affects all of us, both as individuals and as a community, on the VPFO EDI website.
What’s in My Control and What’s Not
Whether we like it or now, there will always be things outside of our control. When we focus too much on these things, such as the opinions of others, what happens around us, and the past or future, we may feel disempowered, frustrated, or anxious.
In contrast, the more we focus on what’s within our control, the more empowered we are — because we can actually do something useful!
Here is a diagram that Jason Wright, Senior Manager, Building System Owner Mechanical, shared to help you visualize what is and isn't in your control.
