SPOTLIGHT STORY: PhD collab funding program for faculty & phd student teams

UBC Vancouver faculty members and PhD student teams are invited to submit a proposal for the PhD Collab pilot program through UBC Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies. Now in the second year of the program pilot, PhD Collab provides guidance and awards up to $100,000 to support inter/transdisciplinary teams of PhD students and faculty members who are working together to address complex questions or problems. Funds can be used to support student stipends, research expenses and/or dissemination activities.

Teams are invited to submit a Letter of Intent by 4 pm on Friday. June 13, 2025. Full proposals due by October 10.

Engage in reconcili-ACTION: host an Indigenous student this summer! 
seed2STEM is a unique summer reserach program for Indigenous high school students created as a way to address underrepresentation of Indigenous people in STEM fields, and encourage Indigenous youth to consider STEM education and careers. The program offers paid 6-week internships with wraparound supports.
