SSHRC Impact Awards 2024 NEW
These awards recognize outstanding researchers and celebrate their research achievements, research training, knowledge mobilization and outreach activities funded partially or entirely by SSHRC. King Faisal Prize in Medicine 2024
The King Faisal Prize (KFP) recognizes the outstanding works of individuals and institutions in five major categories: Service to Islam, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Literature, Medicine, and Science. Its aim is to benefit Muslims in their present and future, inspire them to participate in all aspects of civilization, as well as enrich human knowledge and develop mankind. KFP laureates are evaluated only based on merit and their works are meticulously examined by specialized selection committees. Faculty of Medicine Summer Student Research Program NEW
The Faculty of Medicine Summer Student Research Program (FoM SSRP) is a competition open to MD (Years 1 & 3 in 2021) and non-MD undergraduate students registered at UBC. It provides funding for a summer research project supervised by a member of the Faculty of Medicine (FoM). Funding of up to $3200 is provided in the form of a student stipend; supervisors are responsible for all other expenses. Applications are submitted by student-supervisor teams. To be eligible, supervisors must have a current faculty appointment (instructor or higher, including clinical) in the FoM at UBC. This includes affiliate FoM appointments.
